GCSE MATHEMATICS (MODULAR)
WHY SHOULD I STUDY GCSE MATHS?
A reasonable level of mathematical competence is required for many advanced level courses and of course by most employers. A good grade in GCSE Maths is highly desirable for this purpose.

COURSE COMMITMENT
The course uses a full block of time (4˝ hours) from September to June. Practice time outside lessons preparing for each of the examinations will ensure the maximum grade.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
There are no entry requirements for the Foundation level. For Higher level a previous grade of at least D would be expected.
PROGRESSION ROUTES
Obtaining a grade C will enable progression to AS Statistics and is a requirement for other advanced level courses. AS levels in Maths and some Sciences require a grade C from the Higher tier. A grade C or higher in Mathematics GCSE is a requirement for a wide range of careers and higher education courses. For others a level 2 numeracy qualification may be sufficient.
